Prior to the 2009 ACA Annual Conference & Exposition, ACA will present a series of pre-conference Learning Institutes, which will offer counseling professionals the opportunity to enhance their skills and earn continuing education (CE) credit. Daytime (6 Hour) and Evening (3 Hour) formats will be offered.
Primary presenters must be ACA members in good standing. The primary presenter is also the contact person and is responsible for notifying all other co-presenters of acceptance, rejection, scheduling and any other information provided by ACA. The primary presenter of a selected pre-conference learning institute will receive one (1) complimentary 2009 conference registration.
New for the 2009 conference
All presenters will need to submit PowerPoint presentations and handouts by January 16, 2009.
Selected presenters will have access to an online Presenter Resource Center. The resource center will offer a variety of information, including a critical dates page, to help presenters better prepare for the conference.
ACA is actively seeking advanced programs that provide in-depth knowledge or skills beyond the introductory or basic level.
Please note: Attendees have many programs to select from and often choose those that have well written descriptions; therefore the writing style (grammar, spelling, punctuation, flow) of your proposal is an important aspect of the evaluation process - 20% of the total score. Please prepare your proposal in a word document, and use the grammar/spell check before copying and pasting into the online form.
Submission of this proposal is an acknowledgement that all participants agree to: be available to present on any day of the LI presentation and not charge a separate fee for attending your session. If your religious beliefs prevent you from presenting on a particular day, please let us know and we will make every attempt to honor it. Once the schedule is set, no changes will be made. All presentations must take place in the conference center.
