ACA Encourages DC Area Members to Attend a March for Mental Health

Representatives from ACA will be attending Destination Dignity: Mental Health for All March on Monday, August 24, 2015.
The March will take place on the National Mall between 12 pm and 3:30 pm.

ACA is a member of several coalitions, including the Mental Health Liaison Group (MHLG). Members of this group formed the Dignity Mental Health Coalition to launch the march.

Participants may also attend a rally and kick-off event the Hyatt Regency Hotel from 11-11:30 am and/or an evening reception (location to be announced onsite) from 5-7 pm.
 
Local members: There are TWO ways you can participate:

First, the coalition has asked member organizations to provide volunteers to assist with navigation and to staff the rally point starting at 11 am on August 24. This may include helping with setup, staffing water stations, and assisting with clean-up efforts.

Second, you are invited to attend, rally and/or march to support efforts to decrease the stigma surrounding mental health in our country and our communities.

March: National Mall (Near U.S. Capitol) 12-3:30 pm
Reception: Location TBA 5-7:00 pm
