ACA member Dr. Todd Lewis spoke to Everyday Health about the mania of bipolar disorder.
Dr. Lewis noted that some people may enjoy the manic stage and be tempted to stop taking their medication to bring it on. “It might not be tomorrow or a year from now, but eventually, they will come down, and when they do, it’s a major depression.”
