ACA is proud to be a co-presenting partner of the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 3rd annual Time to THRIVE conference, which will take place at Marriott's Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center, February 12-14, 2016.
Time to THRIVE provides a “one-stop-shop” opportunity for educators, professional counselors, and other youth-serving professionals to build their awareness and cultural competency, learn current and emerging best practices, and gather resources from leading experts in the field. This three day, jam-packed conference provides workshops, plenary sessions, networking time with exhibitors, and a dynamic list of keynote speakers and honorees to be announced soon!
In previous years, the conference has featured actress Ellen Page’s deeply inspirational coming out speech which quickly went viral; special guests including Chelsea Clinton, Lance Bass, Dolores Huerta, Jazz Jennings, EJ Johnson, and Betty DeGeneres; and, in 2015, Time To THRIVE award-winners Michael Sam, the first openly-gay NFL football player, and actor and LGBTQ activist George Takei.
