ACAF Grant Brings Play Therapy Room to an Orphanage

Feb 28, 2017
Youngsters at the St. Aloysius Orphanage in Cincinnati, Ohio, now have access to a play therapy room, thanks to funds from the American Counseling Association Foundation's (ACAF) Growing Happy and Confident Kids (GHCK) program grant.
“It was an honor to receive this grant and a joy taking on this project,” said Sarah Senoyuit, a Clinical Counseling Intern with Hamilton County Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization. “The funding allowed us to purchase play essentials and create an inviting and therapeutic environment for our children. I can assure you our new Play Therapy room will be well used and well loved.”

Funds from the GHCK grant also helped a school counseling center rebuild after a devastating flood in West Virginia.
