Jun 18, 2008
The Red Cross has asked ACA to put out a call for currently certified Red Cross Disaster Mental Health Volunteers in Indiana, Iowa, and Wisconsin who can respond to the massive flooding and displacement that has occurred in these states.

The Red Cross has asked ACA to put out a call for currently certified Red Cross Disaster Mental Health Volunteers in Indiana, Iowa, and Wisconsin who can respond to the massive flooding and displacement that has occurred in these states.

If you live in Indiana, Iowa, or Wisconsin, are currently a certified Red Cross DMH worker, and can be deployed to help with the traumatic stress of those displaced by the floods, please contact your local Red Cross chapter as soon as possible.

Please note: At this time, the call is only for professional counselors who are certified Red Cross Disaster Mental Health volunteers and live in Indiana, Iowa, or Wisconsin.  If you do not fit within these parameters, please do not contact the Red Cross as they need to focus their resources on the flood victims.  ACA will keep its members up to date and let you know if the Red Cross puts out additional calls.
