The American Counseling Association Foundation Offers Grants of Up to $500

The American Counseling Association Foundation is seeking proposals from American Counseling Association members for grants of up to $500.

The grant funding may be used in a variety of ways, including:

  • The purchase of materials of an educational or therapeutic nature.
  • The purchase of food supplies directly related to the specific aims of the proposed project. (Up to 10 percent of the total requested funds may be used to purchase food supplies.)
  • For graduate students, the funds may be used to maintain enrollment in a graduate program (e.g., for student fees, books).

Applicants for American Counseling Association Foundation grants must be an active member of the American Counseling Association and currently working as a counselor or counselor educator or currently enrolled as a graduate student in a counseling program. If a team of applicants submits an application packet, at least one applicant on the team must be an active ACA member upon submission of the application.

All grant requests must be submitted by completing the online American Counseling Association Foundation funding application.

Applicants are required to answer all of the questions included in the online form and to submit a preliminary budget detailing the use of the requested funds.
