The American Counseling Association Hosts 2021 Virtual Hill Day

Jun 07, 2021
ACA’s two-day “Virtual Hill Day” kicks off today with a comprehensive training on advocating for the counseling profession at the state and federal levels.

Effectively advocating for the counseling profession and speaking persuasively about the importance of access to quality mental health care are critical skills for every counselor. Which is why ACA is hosting the 2021 Virtual Hill Day, a two-day event designed to provide members with professional advocacy training and a structured opportunity to meet with Members of Congress.

As part of today’s training, members will get an overview of the Medicare Access Improvement Act, which is central to ACA’s 2021 legislative agenda, and they’ll learn the ins and outs of scheduling and conducting meetings with their representatives and congressional staff members.

ACA members who attend will receive .50 CE hours. Visit the Virtual Hill Page for registration information and a complete agenda.
