Again, We Stand in Solidarity

The ACA Graduate Student Committee condemns violence and hate crimes against Asians, Asian Americans, and Pacific Islanders. We acknowledge the horror, pain, and anger of colleagues, students, and loved ones who have experienced and witnessed hate-based attacks and violence recently in Atlanta, during the past year, and historically. The committee stands in solidarity with the Asian and AAPI community.

ACA has called upon its members to confront our own biases, stereotypes, and racial worldview. Moreover, we should work toward challenging and dismantling systemic and pervasive racism. We know that this work may feel overwhelming for students and new professionals. However, we encourage you to invoke change by sharing resources and creating safe spaces to listen, talk, and reflect. As your peers, we recognize that this work requires persistence and strength, and we are committed to standing by you, with you, and for you.

ACA Responds to Violence, Harassment, and Bullying Against Asian American Community

Graduate Student and New Professional Blogs

We are all taking 12-15 credit hours per semester, participating in research opportunities, managing work schedules, maintaining a social/family life, or we just transitioned into our New Professional role and have no idea what we are doing! ACA’s Graduate Student and New Professional Blog offers real life vignettes of life, academics, and how to keep yourself afloat despite your crazy schedule. Any suggestions for what you would like to hear more about, please email the Graduate Student Committee.
